- Moderately Easy Step1 Find an instructor who has proper credentials. Avoid taking voice acting workshops with instructors who do not fill the academic bill. Check out an instructor's resume. He will probably have more to offer you as a student if his experience in the business is lengthy. Ask for referrals from people in the entertainment business. 

- Step2 Contact potential workshop instructors. Have conversations with them over the phone. Consider taking workshops with instructors who are engaging and genuinely interested in teaching you the craft.

- Step3 Audit workshop classes. Auditing a workshop class will help you determine if a particular instructor's workshop is for you. Gauge his interaction with students. Determine how effective his instruction is.


 
- Step4 Decide on a voice acting workshop that emphasizes teaching you how to act with your voice. All too often, voice acting workshops merely teach students how to alter their voices. Remember that the goal is learning how to act in addition to a change of voice.
